Blue Square are delighted to announce our bluesquare.com Stewards’ Cup competition for all clubs within the three Conference divisions. Our prestigious Glorious Goodwood race will take place at 3.40pm on Saturday 31st July – Live on Channel 4. To commemorate our new three year deal to sponsor the league we have created a prize fund for clubs centered around this showpiece race. Each club in the Blue Square BET Premier, North and South has been allocated a horse in the race. If your horse wins you will receive a cheque for £2000 plus an additional amount determined by a £100 bet on that horse. So for example a 20/1 winner would yield another £2000 for the lucky team.

Don't know much about horses but it would appear that Dettori has been riding our one recently, which can't be bad thing. Reckon it should make the start line......... _________________ UTM's

Conference sponsors Blue Square Bet will be paying a huge bonus to Dorchester Town FC if the Godolphin trained horse Ancien Regime is successful in the Bluesq.com Stewards’ Cup on Saturday over six furlongs at Glorious Goodwood. All 68 clubs in the Blue Square Bet Premier, North and South were allocated a horse from entries in this weekend’s prestigious race and the Town were paired with Frankie Dettori’s mount after Monday’s draw at the betting company’s headquarters in London.
The race will take place at 3.40pm on Saturday 31st July – Live on Channel 4 and Racing UK. To commemorate their new three year deal to sponsor the league Blue Square have created a prize fund for clubs centered around this showpiece race. The club with the winning horse will receive a cheque for £2000 plus an additional amount determined by a £100 bet on that horse. So for example a 20/1 winner would yield another £2000 for the lucky team.
Blue Square spokesman Alan Alger said “This is our way of giving something back to the clubs who supported us through the first three years of sponsoring this great league. “It brings together our two biggest sponsorships and the winning club will benefit by what is a significant amount of money at this level.”
Ancien Regime is currently a 33/1 shot with Blue Square for the race after coming through today’s elimination stage and is scheduled to line up with 27 other runners representing clubs throughout the land. Dorchester Town fans can back the horse via the special www.bluesq.com/yourclub website, where if they register by clicking on their team’s badge they will start to earn money for the club whenever they place a bet. New customers will also be entitled to double their first stake as a free bet up to a maximum of £10.
